Sommersgate House (Ghosts and Reincarnation, #2) - Kristen Ashley The second book in this series had a huge threshold to meet after Penmort Castle. Cash was amazing and I was seriously doubtful I would like Douglas as much.

I was wrong. Douglas was awesome and I couldn't help but think of Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice when I was reading. I know, it's hard for anyone to live up to that and he wasn't a replica of course. But Douglas' reserve, his sense of right, his patience and then finally his passion and stubbornness, totally similar to Mr. Darcy!!!

My only complaint was about Julia. I get that there can't be instant love. But for a book this size her waffling back and forth over Douglas I thought lasted a bit too long and got to the point where I wanted to reach through the pages and strangle her. Maybe this was supposed to be the case; and yeah I get she suffered through a hell of a time with her ex and her father. But still, it annoyed me.

Despite this, it's still four stars. Like Penmort Castle, the ghosts didn't overtake the plot and there was plenty of focus on the hero and heroine. I didn't see the twist coming at the end. Totally came out of the blue, in a good way I thought. I love when unexpected things happen like that!

And her epilogue was great as always, especially the part about Gavin and Tamsin. I had a bit of a tear in my eye over that final passage.

I've downloaded the rest in this series so I can't wait to get through the rest. I am so glad I decided to read this series!
